So… my buddy game me his tower computer because he says that a virus pretty much killed the computer. However, I am certain that something could be done. When I turn it on, the POST is being done and I think that it is completed. Then, at some point, I am asked if I want to boot the computer with the Non default mode. I filmed the whole process so you can see by yourself:

The video starts where I am being asked if I wish to turn on the Non default mode. Since I did nothing, it tried to boot normally and someone it just went back to POST.
What is wrong with my computer?

Corrupted operating system. Reinstall the operating system or try a “repair” install.
Is there any way of doing a system recovery back to factory settings check at the manufacture website or use a windows cd to reinstallyour os that will be the best bet since it post, non default mode meaning safemode.
The virus might of ruined the boot settings. If you have a Windows CD you can easily do a reinstall. If that is out of the option because you don’t have it burn a copy of Linux. It’s a Pentium computer so Linux Ubuntu would be perfect for it.
