It is the summer now, after th grade and in the middle of th grade I was dating this guy. Well, he sent me a picture of his thing and he told someone I sent some back.(I didn’t and that someone was my best friend) Well, she told people and it sort of settled down towards the end of the year. Will it all start back in high school? PLEASE HELP.

She only told like people but i’m scared she’ll use it against me (if i piss her off) although I didn’t do anything. She is “super sweet” and “the perfect Christian girl” and everyone believes her.

If it starts again, then ignore what people say or think about you… Unless if someone actually comes up to your face and starts calling names, then you can talk smack back.

Are you and this person still friends? If you are, I would tell her to retract her statements and start telling the truth or she will no longer be your friend. Sometimes in the next year, students will find other things or other people to talk about. Since the rumor settled down toward the end of the year, hopefully, it won’t start back in high school (but there is always some ignorant student who may still say something). If you can think of something witty or stern to say back if someone says anything about this to you and embarrass them instead, maybe they will shut up about it. If they say, I heard you sent a picture of yours to someone just say, “No, I sent out a picture of yours.” Then walk off.
Well to speak the truth, it is hard to tell whether or not the rumor will fly back up once school starts. Most likely, people will have forgotten and you will have no problems. But if not, just ignore the haters and if your friend keeps blackmailing you, find someone else who will understand you and hold you more important than some silly rumor.
