  • Instead of using the slower 667MHz PC2-53 memory, get the faster 1066MHz PC2-85. It costs less and if you ever plan on overclocking, it’s what you’ll want to use.

That motherboard can only use one graphics card, so the power supply you picked is more than you’ll ever need. I would recommend the brand I use in my systems, Corsair. The Corsair TX650W has two 6+2 pin pci-e power connectors for your graphics card and a 52A 12V rail. $99.99 at newegg.

They’re sold out (wonder why?) right now, but tiger direct has it for the same price.

That saved you $9 on the memory and $150 on the power supply, now you can afford a better graphics card, like maybe a GTX 275.

You also might want to consider a slightly larger monitor with a faster response time. ASUS 22″ 2ms, about the same price.

Keep in mind, these monitors have crappy speakers, so you might want to add them to your list.

  • Ok…

    Tower…Ok

    Motherboard…Ok

    DvD Burner….Ok

    Monitor….Ok

    Power Supply…waaaaay overkill.

Ok first off, if your a gamer keep on reading. If not stop. Ok the graphics card would be titled as weak because its not the best. It is kinda old. For that kind of money I would suggest an http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8…

It’s compare-able to the GTX 280 and its about $150 less.

Hard drive well….its kinda low on the space..people now a days are leaning on to 1tb but that’s your choice. You can keep that one its fine.

Now….the power supply…waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overkill. That is only needed if your running about 5 GTX’s 295 in SLI. A good power supply that you need and good for the money too is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8…

Its a very good power supply and it will last you for a good long time.
