  • Not a chance. I have no wish to die on a project that is controlled by a bunch of highly uneducated boobs that have no concept of what it would actually take to get there safely let alone start a colony. It’s a pipe dream that will never make it off the ground.

  • No, I personally would not! What if for any reason you don’t want to be on Mars anymore but there’s no way off! On Earth it’s nice to have days off from all these electronics and civilization but they are very handy and very needed now in our lives. What if the food supplies run out and you cannot get more from Earth and what if Mars is too barren to “live off the land” the death would be a very torturous one! What if our bodies could not withstand the speed and temperature ranges on the planet because those are not the same as Earths and have not fully been tested on how it works and reacts on humans. I have a long lists of reasons why I wouldn’t go to Mars but I won’t get into it all right now…

  • No Point. It will never get off the ground.
The people organizing this have overlooked several important points.
    1. Nine months to get there – how do you carry supplies for that long a trip with that many people.
    2. Mars can not support Human Life – all supplies will have to come from Earth and there will have to be a constant string of spaceships flying to Mars brining in Supplies. Food, Water, Oxygen, Toilet Paper…etc..

  • Nope. Even if I were a good candidate, which I’m not, the things I want to do are mostly down here on Earth. Don’t get me wrong, I think space colonization is both necessary and cool as heck, but I’m not the sort of person to be physically present on the vanguard.

  • If we can not make return trips, we are not ready for the trip.
