  • When I first saw this question I thought it would be an obvious tilt toward the SD, but in looking at the two subs I’m not so sure.
    The power ratings are significantly different, but that can be accounted for on the assumption the AP is over-rated and the SD is conservatively rated.
    X-max is basically the same…
    Honestly – If SPL is your thing I don’t see enough difference in the specs to be able to predict one way or the other w/o just guessing.
    Assuming you found them at about the same price I would probably trust SD more than AP. Especially if you’re planning to stick with this set up for more than a few months.

    I favor Sundown Audio though.

    Audiopoop isn’t reliable and doesn’t correctly rate their gear.
