Can I hook up an USB charging port to my car amplifier?

I have a 6W Amp in my car, all hooked up and running correctly and I was wondering if there was any way I could hook up an USB charging socket to a port on my amp (which is 4-way, meaning the port gives out 150W of power).

  • no.. its a 150 watts but its not constant power. tap into a 12 volt wire somewhere in your car. not sure what your trying to do though

  • You can’t get 150 watts out of a standard USB port, and if it doesn’t follow standards it could burn out any device plugged into it.
