  • Most banks require a person to be 18 to receive a debit card, because a debit card can be used as a credit card, and most often is used to verify age with certain things on the internet (AKA porn). You usually can get some kind of ATM card though, and some stores will accept those, but they can’t be processed as credit.

    Note many banks require account holders for any type of account to be 18.

  • Yes im under 18 and im allowed to you just have to go through a short process depending on what bank or credit union you’re at. but it is notnot a good idea because it will make you spend more moneyy
