Can you transfer a vehicle registration to a motorcycle in FL?

I recently sold my truck that I had less than a year. When I surrendered my tag, the clerk told me I could transfer it to another vehicle or get a refund for the initial registration fee of $225. Im not after the refund as I have recently purchased a motorcycle from a private seller and it is currently unregistered to me. I was wondering if it were possible to transfer it to the motorcycle.

  • Probably yes, vehicle registrations are pretty much the same. Just call the clerk and find out for certain.
