Has anyone ever had experience with a Barghest?

A Barghest, as I understand it, is a large spectral beast that is usually an omen of death. Usually it’s a large dog (like the Grim in HP). It’s meant to be a monster that usually is sighted in Yorkshire, where I live. Has anybody ever had any sort of experience with a Barghest?
