I have a netgear dual band. I bought this because I heard that I would be able to basicly set up my ps3 on a seperate network and nothing else would interfere and make me lag. I’m not sure how to do this and make my ps3 be on a seperate channel from my laptops and everything else. Please explain. Thanks

You heard wrong. Your router takes all data from your LAN and sends it to your ISPs network. This is the slowest part of the connection. The only way to make this faster is to buy a faster package from your ISP.
To stop the lag you can download less on the other devices in your house while you are using your PS3. or you can get a higher speed from your ISP so there is enough bandwidth for the PS3 and other devices to be used at the same time.
