  • Having a c-section mean losing blood, and consequently, losing iron. A unique gift for a new mom is a bottle of a product like Floradix which is high in bioavailable iron. Cooking up a high protein meal in an iron skillet is an easy way to increase the iron content of the food, and every new mom is grateful to have a nice home-cooked meal. Also, you might be help by just being a listening ear.

  • Help her tend to housework and the babys needs. Maybe cook her meals. She will be very grateful. And remember she had major surgery so she’s not supposed to lift heavy objects, or light objects off the floor. Also, don’t take it personally if she forgets to thank you for your help. She’s going to be very tired so she may overlook things at the moment. Also she may be very emotional because she can’t do things she’s use to doing. Just try to be understanding and always ask if she would like you to do something.
