how to burn a mp audio file to cd?

i have downloaded a track saved in my music as a mp audio file and plays through real player. I have operating system xp but want to now burn the file now onto cd so will play on my cd player at home do i have to convert it first to a different format and if so how

  • If you want to burn a song to a disc, the easiest way is probably to download iTunes and use that. First, download iTunes at the Apple website. Then drag your song into iTunes. Then put it into a playlist. Then click on the playlist and in the bottom right corner there is a button saying ‘Burn Disc’. Click that and follow the prompts. When it is done, take the disc out of your computer and put it in the CD player to play.
