How to find percents in math?

If a math question says “What is _% of _” then how do you do that? the blanks are numbers. and what if it has a decimal like what is % of .

    To get the answer you divide the part you’re interested of with the whole: / = ,…

    Edit: People preceding me, look at your answers. Do they even make sense? / (%) of is . So a bit less out of a bigger number should be slightly less, such as my . answer. I don’t know where you see the results fitting back in.
