Well, my parents are divorced. I’m 15. I believe my mom wasn’t supposed to take care of us because she was mentally… unstable. So, I’ve lived with my dad and brother.
Now, it’s getting unbearable. My brother acts like he can run the house, and he practically does. My dad supports him for whatever he wants/desires. My dad doesn’t have control of the house, and he knows it. He’s said it multiple times. So, now my brother is the boss. Dad supports him. When my brother screws up, like crashing his car again, my dad takes the anger out on me. So I’m screamed at everywhere, whether it’s in public or not. And he begins to try to think of things to scream at me for.
I’m sick and tired of being emotionally abused by what he (brother, and occasionally dad) says. I’m sick of being scared of what he’ll physically do to me. He’s physically fought my dad. He has a huge hole in his wall where he takes part of his anger out on. He breaks things like a $5 laptop, for example. He’s punched me before. He’s reckless. He loves to make you feel so small in the world. He loves having power over people.
I’m wondering.. Is there anything I can do to get out of this house? I can’t stay with my mom. Even if she was allowed to, she wouldn’t. I’m thinking the shelter or foster care, but I’m not sure. Would it be possible for me to get out of here?
Is there anything I can do to leave? I’m calling our DHS in the morning..

I don’t have any family in the US other than my dad, brother, and mom. Both of my parents are foreign. My luck…

Emancipation? Or try staying with an aunt or uncle? Fostering is a good idea though. best of luck x
