I have a RAR file and have downloaded WINRAR to try and open it but still struggling to open it. The trouble is when I try and open the file it just opens up the WINRAR and then i dont know what to do to open the file.

Click “extract to” to the folder that you want.
you’ll want something to open the rar document, if the laptop has some form of application on it like winzip winrar, zip and so on, you should then have the skill to open it devoid of having to acquire something, or you will could desire to acquire it.
