There has been a recent outbreak of a pesky little “virus” on my school’s computers. I contracted it on my pen drive and now I am afraid that it might have infected my computer. The so called virus is characterized as being in a folder called “cold” and when you open that folder there is another folder called “hot.” I want to know if this “virus”, which is nothing bad just pretty annoying, is harmful to my Mac. My school’s computers are all PCs and always get infected.

Dot is correct. Unlikely to be a problem to your Mac and you can easily use your Mac to delete the virus files. (Maybe you could charge a small fee to do it for others… $1 per drive? ;-D )
