job for 13 year old?

im turning 13 on tuesday, and i would never even think of getting a real job. maybe an “under the table job” like mowing neibors lawns or something

In Canada you can get lots of job as a teen. You can maybe do a garage sale, that would get you big bucks and occupy quite some time. Baby sitting too, unless you don’t like kids 🙂 Dog sitting or pet walking. Mowing lawns, doing a bake sale or a lemonade stand. Good luck. P.S. When I was 13 which was last year. I tried lots of different jobs and the most successful one would be garage sale and bake sale. Not really with the baby sitting because most parents did not trust a 13 year old with their kids. You could do some volunteer work unless you are looking to make some extra cash. If you like animals, try the humane society or pet stores. Like kids? – try a daycare or a community group. The experience you gain will help you when looking for future jobs – you can put it on a resume and the people you work with can be work references – volunteer work is always an asset when applying for a job.

In the U.S., because of child labour laws you cannot offically work untill you are 14. So a job for the summer looks grim. However, you could look for unoffical jobs, such as baby sitting, Car washing, lawn work or classic ‘Lemonade Stand’

you can’t work anywher untill you are 15 and even then you half to have a workers permit, i know this cause i tried it when i was your age i’m only 25 now so maybe they have changed the law but i doubt it. Try cutting grass, or doing some gardening for neighbors but remember to never go in a persons house unless your mother says its okay. Do not go door to door asking, just ask some of your parents friends, people at church, family etc..

p.s. i’m 13 and was looking 4 a real job but i couldn’t get a permit b/c they don’t let u unless ur 14

hmm maby stock. or fast food. restaurant work. i wouldn’t go in the kitchen. those stoves are hot and will ruin your skin. same with fastfood. work up front if you can

find a humble till or stocking job? 🙂
