My daughter is 8 months old, & has had a rash around her nose and mouth for a couple weeks.?

She is teething like crazy, so I’m not sure if it’s caused by teething or not. She isn’t acting like it’s bothering her, but with her being my 1st child I worry alot. We have a Dr. Appointment Monday. Just wanting some ideas of what it could be. Thanks:)

  • A lot of Pacifiers cause rashes, babies have such sensitive skin that it just irritates it. Nothing out of the ordinary (:

  • Well, if she’s teething, it might be because she put something in her mouth that she had an allergic reaction to or something that gave her a bacteria/virus/fungal-based rash. Try using an anti-rash ointment and/or antibiotic ointment (apply sparingly, as ingesting it may not be healthy). Also, carefully limit what she puts in her mouth and make sure her pacifier, if she has one, is clean. There are guides as to how to properly clean a pacifier, as just rinsing it off in the sink is not enough.
