you shouldnt start with a tank smaller than 55 but a 29 gallon biocube is an exception only because ot already comes with everything you need. that said the slimmer is junk but better than nothing.

Both are comparable from my knowledge, but you should really look into a larger tank, probably 40+ gallons, because although there will be more water to carry for water changes, more chemicals/salt needed etc., the water chemistry will be much more stable in a tank with a larger volume, and water chemistry is a very difficult aspect for beginners.
