Pure Potassium for Plants?

I’m doing a big Biology assignment, and I have weeks to grow corn. Our grade is based off of how high it grows. We get to choose what variable we are going to change. I chose different soils. However he (strongly) suggested that I only add nutrient to one of the plants. I chose potassium. So my question is: How can I give my corn plant pure potassium (not the metal)? Different ways, and maybe some (EXTRA) help or links on getting it? Also please try to make it as cheap as possible. Or, if you can think of a different important nutrient for plants that make them grow more, and how I can get it, please let me know. Also, please be sure that it is ONLY variable. Nothing else added. Thanks!!! 🙂

Check your local garden centers for Muriate of Potash, which is potassium chloride containing between and per cent potassium. Its chlorine content passes off rapidly when applied to soil.

Here’s the description: “An excellent source of potassium which aids plants in forming healthy stems, roots and tuber growth. Muriate of Potash is great for below ground forming vegatables such as potatoes, carrots and others.”

Go to http://www.potashfertilizer.org/types-of-potash-fe… for more information or just search for “muriate of potash”.

    Good luck with your project!

  • have you ever tried checking in decrease cost shops (WalMart, greenback regularly occurring, and so on.) for potassium as a supplement the place they sell diet and minerals? it would be obtainable by potential of itself without different minerals jumbled jointly. you need to weigh down a number of the pills, and weigh out a small quantity to function to the plant life that should get it.
