I apparently read the dimensions of the standard 20 gallon tank online, but now I see that a 20 gallon long tank would be 6 inches longer than my stand (the stand is not made for tanks, but it held a 10 gallon fish tank full of water before)
This tank will not be for fish; but for a hamster. I know it will look dumb, but will it be ok If 3 inches of the tank hangs over each side?

It will be Just fine, of it could hold water, then it would be fine for a hamster tank, btw it will be loud at might with then hamster wheel soon put anblanket of a towel under then tank. 🙂
