alright so i just got my skateboard im a beginner and i know how to ride i know to push and turn but my friends have been begging me to go skate with them at the local skate park but i always come up with some stupid lie im scared i will embarres my self and i dont know any tricks what so ever and i dont wanna be a poser

well if you dont wanna look like a poser then don’t go, learn a couple tricks practice then and then ask them. If you wanna go badly at least learn your ollie.

if you want to go, then beware, when you go down ramps and slides, they are so much faster than you think, i would start skating in the streets first, get used to controlling the movement and speed, then start learing a few tricks, like the ollie. I didn’t go to a skate park until i learn 3 tricks, so i did, and they were the ollie, kickflip and grind. i would learn a few tricks before you go to one because you don’t want to embarress yourself if you fall.
