Trans am signal lights not working?

I have a 79 Pontiac trans am that has been sitting for awhile before I picked it up, while putting it back together I realized my signal lights weren’t working as well as my back up lights, the hazards work and so do brake lights what can be the issue? check all the fuses and made sure everything was plugged in, any ideas?

If you were into the steering column, take it back apart and check that out as well. Back up lights may he a bad switch on transmission
