What is a good Nascar track to go to??

Bristol is the best track to go to, period.

Richmond is good, you can see most of the track from any seat, and getting to and from the track is not as daunting as some other tracks. Bristol is fun if you can get tickets. Charlotte is about the practical limit for viewing the whole track from less than ideal seats, but the traffic is god-awful. Talladega is very easy to get in and out of, but it’s so big that it can be hard to see what’s going on on the opposite side of the track. You get a good sense of how fast the cars are going at Darlingon, but it’s best to take the bus in from a satelite parking lot. Dover used to have the Monster Mile Express Amtrak train that would take you to a from the racetrack, this was an excellent idea if you lived on the route the train followed, I don’t know if they still do it or not.

Any track that hosts a decent race is a good track to go. There is more than just Nascar Sprint, Nationwide and Truck. There is also region (West and East), the Wallen (sp) series as well as the Wallen (sp) Nascar Weekly Racing series.

I see great racing about 16 to 18 weeks of live racing a year and not leave the city, and see the future of Nascar.

Daytona, Bristol, Charlotte, Talladega, and Martinsville, are all good tracks but tickets for those places sell out quickly so its hard to get tickets to those events from what I’ve heard. However, I love the road courses, so Sonoma or Watkins Glen, would be great choices as well. Atlanta is another superspeedway type track but getting tickets there is much easier. Also Chicago and Vegas are good tracks to go to as well, because the racing is always exciting there. Then another track is Indianapolis… Always great racing there and it has alot of history and is a great track. There is always lots of excitement and you get to watch the winning driver and crew kiss the bricks and there is just so much history and talent there that its an amazing race to watch and see.. Hopefully some of this helped you.

For an overall great NASCAR experience, its hard to beat going to Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte. Last trip I went there we spent 4 days/nights there for the October race. The first two days were spent visiting the teams race shops that are in the area, and it was really cool to catch some of the teams finishing up preparing their car for that weekend and loading it up in the hauler. Each night we went to the track for an event. There was a sprint car race at the dirt track there on Wed. Thursday was practice and qualifying. The Busch race was Friday night, and the Cup race was Saturday night. And you dont have to be up real high if you sit on the frontstretch to get a good view of the track. Our seats were only row 25 in the quad oval and they were fantastic. I cant wait to get back there again.

If you’re the type that really enjoys camping at the track, then Michigan is one the best places for that, and I guess so is Bristol.

I have been to Michigan and New Hampshire. Michigan is a good fast track, but not too much action during the race. Of course Talladega and Daytona are great. You also have the Brickyard, with it’s history, and the other super speedways like California, and Lowes. I think the best track to go and see a race at though would be Bristol, lots of bangin and bumpin!!

Depends what kinda racing you like. If you like short track racing go to Martinsville. Bristol is a mess, but a great party. If you like the medium tracks the two best are Charlotte and Las Vegas. Charlotte spring race is a huge party in downtown Charlotte for 3 days with 3 different stages for Rock, Country, and 80’s Rock. If you like the large restricter plate tracks… Daytona. Talladega is a mess.

It is hard to choose out of the 11 different tracks I’ve been too but, Bristol, Talledega, Darlington, Dover do have awesome racing. I am partial to Vegas as I have season tickets but, alas, am selling them this year becasue of going to the 50th at Daytona.

I have never had trouble getting tickets for any of the tracks. I go directly to the track website or to racetickets.com. Also have never paid more than face value for the tickets.

Daytona for sure. Not only do you get to see a good race the they have great seafood and there is a beach near by. I went to both of the races there this past year and had a blast at every race. Also get the fan zone pass so you can go on pit lane, see inside the garages, walk on the track, and take a nap on the grass.

Go to a short track. Bristol, Richmond, Loudon. or any track less than a mile and a half. There are some good 1 1/2 mile tracks but nothing beats the short track (especially at night)
