What's a good dog for a single guy that lives in mansion of 12,0 Square feet?

Hey everyone, I’ve decided that a dog is needed in my life. I’m single, 34 years old and I live in a 12,0 sq ft mansion. I recently took care of a friend’s puppy Yorkie Girl and enjoyed taking care of the little thing and now considering getting a dog. I work about 2 hours every two weeks, so I am out a lot. I need a dog that doesn’t shed and is a chick magnet..lol

I really did like the Yorkie but I’m an athletic body type individual and I don’t think a Yorkie would suit me! Well what do you ladies think? lol

Anyways what kind of dog would be great for me and be open…thanks in advance

edit:whats wrong with my name?

  • This is almost too funny. A dog is a huge responsibility. Will you have time to give your dog the adequate exercise that it needs? Does not matter how big of a yard you may have all dogs need at least one daily walk/run/jog and the length depends on the energy level of the dog. Will you have time to socialize your dog around people and other dogs? Give your dog the training that it needs? From what you say you will not. You work over 2 hours every two weeks so that’s what at least 15 hours a day give or take. With that schedule not only do you not have time for a dog but I doubt you have time for a romantic relationship either. Unless the gal solely wants a rich man and does not care that she will rarely see him.

That is not fair to the dog. I would not advice that you get a dog until you have more time to devotee to a pet. If you want a pet get something that is low maintenance and does not require a lot of attention. Offer to watch peoples pets on the weeks you do not work and maybe even you can volunteer at shelter during your off weeks so that you can get your dog time in.

  • Bahahahaha to the working over 24 hours a day.

Sir you must be joking about all this n trying to find a date via yahoo answers.

So lets put a scenario up…

You have a ginormous house, you work every second, yet you can look after friends dogs…

Hiring a dog walker should not be any kinda of hard thing for you it sounds, so get 2 dogs, any kind of large dog would love to run around your house it seems, dalmation, weimaraner, american bulldog, want something fluffy? A retriever-doodle is a good chick magnet.

And hire a dog walker once a day when ur coming home or twice when your away for too long, but I really strongly suggest when you get it or them you take time off work, a significant amount of time, or lighten your workload so you bond with them while they are young.

    Anywho

    Good day

    Hope I helped.

  • HMMM….well since you work more than 14 hours every day you are probably way to busy for a dog. Maybe one of the little robotic dogs that Sony makes. Or guess you could hire somebody to take care of the pup. Get something really expensive and unique.

  • Because, like many Christians, she is a hypocrite. Also, it’s very easy to be warm and fuzzy about a lot of things when one is wealthy. Especially when she has ZERO talent. There are a lot of ugly untalented little girls out there(that is a description of Miley Cyrus by the way); Cyrus just lucked out, so she feels expansive and magnanimous and pious. Amen.

  • are you trying to pick up a girl or something? Has that mansion line not worked in the past and now you want a puppy to do the work for you? I hope you aren’t serious, because you sound like a joke.

And if you are, get a new yahoo id and rephrase the question to not sound so pompous.

    Hope i helped :o)

  • The best dog would be a mastiff i have 2 and nobody would even attempt to come near me. when im out i get so much attention its unbelievable, you would definatly pull!!! they are not very athletic and they love to be around people so i would suggest you find yourself a nice girl who would stay at home with them!! As for the sheeding issue, mastiffs dont mind kennels so you wouldnt have to have them in the house.. They are very large, my boy is 18 stone and looks like a bear, not an inch of fat on him though… as for being athletic, get a horse, best way to keep trim!! or sex!! whichever you prefer!

  • If I cover myself in fur and bark you can let me live there…. just a thought….

Anyway– you’re not really home enough to take care of any animal, as stated earlier. Dogs need companionship- they’re pack creatures that like to be around their people.

They can live in the biggest mansion on earth or a porti-potty and be happy, as long as they have companionship.

  • None, you are out of the house way too much to own a dog, or even a cat.

However if you really own a 12,0 sq ft mansion I am sure your delightful cast of servants can take care of your dog.

  • No way don’t get a yorkie rofl!, get a man dog and since you got alot of land you will want a dog to protect it. Heres what i have in mind for you

Rottweiller,Doberman,German Shepherd ( working line ofcourse), cane corso and borboel. But just be nice to them when you raise them and they will love you back.

  • I’ve never heard of a pick up question.

    Interesting.

If this question is serious, which I have my doubts about, I don’t think you have enough time for a dog.
