  • Representations of people/animals are forbidden in Islam. You may have noticed they’re also forbidden in the Ten Commandants…but apparently Christians can’t read.

  • Because Muslims believe that having pictures of people or animals in Mosques will tempt them to worship the pictures (idols) and not Allah. Same reason why they’re forbidden from making pictures of Allah or Mohammed period.

  • Because Masjed (mosque) is a place to worship God, and only God.

    Why should people hang their photos in the Masked ?

    It’s haram, for many reasons.

    Also, we don’t have pictures of Allah, and nobody in the world does. Allah is not a creature in the first place, he’s above that. Allah is the creator.

  • These things are forbidden in the Mosque, it’s said that such things may lead to idol worship, we don’t know what Allah or the prophets really looked like, so how can we have a picture of them?

  • Because such things would be considered conducive to idolatry in Islam.

    Source(s): fyi, some mosques do, but they are in the minority. For example, there is the picture of the Ayatollah in the mosque where he is buried.
