  • Ernie Irvan was well on his way to a championship before his accident at Michigan. Davey Allison surely would have won the title more than once. Tim Richmond was also a contender.

  • Looking down the list of career wins, the highest name I saw that I know for sure doesn’t have a championship was Kyle Busch. Some of the names above him were drivers from yesteryear that I wasn’t positive did or didn’t have one.

  • Tim Richmond, or maybe Harry Gant.
